If your school has a School Sync package with Seneca, teachers will be able to see all of their classes automatically. The "synced" badge indicates that they have been generated by the Seneca School Sync.
Synced classes will only appear on your classes list if they:
Have been created in your MIS (Arbor, SIMS, etc.)
You are attached as a teacher in the MIS.
There are students in the class in the MIS.
If you teach a class that isn't appearing in your teacher account on Seneca, check with your school's IT department or Data Manager to make sure the class is set up correctly. You can also join any synced classes within the school via the School page for instant access to assignment setting and study data.
No classes are appearing at all
Classes will not show as active on Seneca if there are no teachers attached on the MIS or there are no students attached on the MIS.
Ask your IT department or Data Manager to check that the classes have been correctly set up and then let us know so we can update the sync!
Other teachers can see classes but I can't
Your account may not be syncing correctly if other teachers can see sync classes but you can't. Any other teacher in the school can check if your account sync has been successful by checking to see if you are showing as 'Invalid' on the School page.
The Invalid list will show teachers that we have been unable to sync due to an issue with their data on the MIS. Ask your IT department or Data Manager to make the change suggested under 'Action Required'
If you have any questions at all or require assistance, please email learnmore@seneca.io and we'll be happy to help out!
