If a student says they can't see an assignment you've set, check the following.
The page needs refreshing
Check: Has the assignment only just been created or updated?
Fix: Both you and the student might need to refresh the page. This updates the information shown and can make the assignment appear.
The student is signed in to the wrong account
Check: Compare the student's email address in the settings of their account (click the emoji in the bottom left, then settings) with the one shown in your class's students section.
Fix: Ask the student to sign out and sign back in using the email address that's linked to your class. They should be able to see the assignment in their Assignments tab on the left hand side toolbar when they're signed in to the correct account.
The assignment hasn't started yet
Check: Open the assignment and see whether the start date is in the future.
Fix: The assignment will appear in the student's assignments once the start date arrives. If needed, you can edit the assignment to change the start date.
If the end date has already passed, the assignment will lock after 2 weeks so the student will not be able to go in and complete it.
You may not have assigned it to that student
Check: Open the Assignments and check whether the student is included in the list of students included in this assignment.
Fix: If the student isn't included, you can edit the assignment and add them.
