A smoother way to get started on Seneca

Signing up for Seneca is now easier for new students, teachers, and parents. Account creation and first time onboarding have been combined into one continuous journey, so you no longer have to sign up and then be redirected into a separate onboarding flow afterwards.

How the new sign up flow works

  1. Go to the Seneca sign up page.

  2. Choose whether you're signing up as a student, teacher or parent. Your account type is now the first thing you pick.

  3. Enter your details (email, password, or continue with Google / Microsoft).

  4. You'll move straight into a dedicated onboarding journey designed for the account type you just selected, with no extra modal or redirect step in between.

  5. Once onboarding is complete, you'll land on your personalised Seneca home page and can start studying, teaching or supporting your child straight away.

Tailored onboarding for each type of user

  • Students are guided through setting up their courses so they can jump into studying.

  • Teachers are guided through the key steps to set up their school and first class.

  • Parents are guided through connecting to their child's account.

Things to know

  • This replaces the previous flow, where sign up and onboarding happened in separate modals with a redirect between them.

  • Existing users are unaffected, the new flow only applies to brand new sign ups.

  • If you need help part way through onboarding, you can close the flow and pick it back up from your account home page later.
