What's new on your subject homepage

We've refreshed the student subject homepage and classroom sidebar to make exam preparation easier to find and to simplify navigation. These changes are designed to help students engage with the most useful study features during exam season.

Exam Prep is now a tab on the subject homepage

Exam Prep content no longer lives in a separate area of the navigation. Instead, you'll find it as a tab directly on each subject's homepage, right alongside your other study options. This makes it quicker to jump into exam questions, past papers, and related exam-focused tools for the subject you're already studying.

A simplified classroom sidebar

The sidebar has been tidied up so it's easier to scan and faster to get to what you need. Less-used links have been removed or regrouped, and the layout now prioritises the most common study actions.

New sidebar variant highlighting Exam Questions progress

Some students will see a new sidebar variant that surfaces their progress on Exam Questions (EQ). This variant is designed to encourage students to keep building exam-style practice alongside their normal revision.

Your current subject is pinned to the top

The subject you're currently working in is automatically pinned to the top of the subject list in the sidebar. That means no more scrolling through your full subject list to get back to the one you were just studying.

Things to know

  • The Exam Prep tab is available on every supported subject homepage.

  • The new EQ-progress sidebar variant is rolled out to a subset of students as part of an ongoing experiment.

  • All existing revision content and assignments continue to work as before, only the layout of the homepage and sidebar has changed.
